Responsibilities

  • Taking a solution-oriented approach, diagnosing and executing permanent resolutions to manufacturing challenges using a structured problem-solving method. Advocating problem-solving practices through thorough documentation and knowledge dissemination.Propel Continuous Improvement initiatives by spearheading the integration of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing principles.
  • Operate within a rigorously regulated setting, ensuring the attainment of top-tier product quality by adhering to robust quality system protocols such as GMP, NCR, and CAPA, among others.
  • Enhance production flow to achieve quality at the source, enabling prompt feedback from inspections. Ensuring adherence to product specification requirements and inspection standards through clear standard operating procedures.
  • Lead teams in the implementation of validation procedures.
  • Analyze and introduce innovative enhancements in operational efficiency through vital Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics including Yield, Uptime, and Performance. Elevate the capability, capacity, and stability of processes, products, equipment, and materials.
  • Design mechanical jigs and fixtures to align with manufacturing needs, streamline machine changeover time, and enhance maintenance practices.
  • Evaluate, in collaboration with EHS, the environmental impact of new equipment/processes/chemicals.
  • Adhere to Plant Safety and Health & Safety regulations pertinent to your role, assuming accountability for those aspects of the OH&S System under your purview to ensure the well-being of yourself and others.
  • Be cognizant of the potential environmental implications associated with your work and the consequences of non-compliance.
  • Contribute to improved energy efficiency by conserving energy wherever feasible (e.g., lighting, equipment, air conditioning, etc.).
  • Participate in and contribute to the ongoing improvement endeavors of the OH&S, Environmental, and Energy Management systems by actively engaging, providing feedback/suggestions for enhancement, and promptly reporting accidents, near misses, illnesses, good catches, and environmental incidents.

Qualifications

  • Hold a NFQ Level 8 qualification in a Technical Discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Biomedical) with a minimum of four years of relevant industry experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in validation techniques and applications (e.g., IQ/OQ/PQ, TMVs), along with associated regulatory requirements and statistical data analysis.
  • Demonstrate a dynamic and adaptable work approach with a results-oriented mindset. Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational aptitudes.
  • Proficiency in managing mid/high-level complex technical projects within strict timelines using appropriate Project Management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMBOK).
  • A persuasive and motivated team player who fosters and leads cross-functional collaboration. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians.
  • Possession of Project Management and Six Sigma qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Experience in Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Data Analysis, and Project Management is highly desirable.
