Lead Maintenance Technician :

Requirements:

  • Leading a team of technicians to ensure optimal equipment performance, uptime, output, and yield target KPIs are met.
  • Providing crucial support for production equipment in a medical device healthcare environment.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying automated electro-mechanical equipment failures promptly and efficiently.
  • Executing and scheduling preventative maintenance procedures using PEMAC.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Collaborating closely with engineers and technicians to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues, as well as implementing new projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Providing technical leadership, conducting training sessions for new hires, and developing cross-training plans to facilitate job rotation and holiday cover.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • A Diploma/Degree/Senior Trades in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar technical role within the medical device or related industry.
  • Mechanical expertise in an automated manufacturing environment and proficient troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different shift patterns as per business requirements.
  • Proficiency in PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Thorough knowledge of conveyors, robotics, automation, sensors, and servo systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong teamwork abilities.
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry with automated production would be advantageous.
