Senior Electrical Engineer
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will design, develop, and integrate complex electrical systems for cutting-edge Cardiac Ablation Solutions. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and work closely with cross-functional teams across mechanical engineering, software, quality, and manufacturing to bring products from concept to production.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead or contribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical systems/circuits for medical devices in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601).
  • Drive or support project planning, timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation.
  • Create detailed specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts in collaboration with design teams.
  • Integrate hardware, firmware, and software at a system level.
  • Perform root cause investigations and risk assessments, delivering corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage product changes and maintain accurate design documentation (BOMs, drawings, specs).
  • Partner with manufacturing and reliability teams to optimize design for scalability, cost, and performance.
  • Support verification and validation to ensure product safety, compliance, and effectiveness.
  • Design and qualify functional and safety test systems (product and PCB level).
  • Analyze field-returned products to determine root causes of failure.
  • Support or lead CAPA activities and issue escalation.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to manufacturing and suppliers to improve yields and process capability.
  • Assist during internal and external regulatory audits.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering.

Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of electrical design experience
  • Background in medical devices or other highly regulated environments
  • Analog, digital, high-voltage, or RF circuit design
  • Strong knowledge of EMC design/testing (IEC 60601)
  • System-level hardware/firmware integration
  • Hands-on PCB prototyping, testing, and debugging
  • Development of hardware test systems for verification or production testing
  • Strong documentation skills (specifications, test plans, etc.)
  • Experience with simulation and PCB tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, Altium, Cadence, Minitab)
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFT principles
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or other problem-solving methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach
