EHS Manager

Are you a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety professional seeking a pivotal role with a leading Pharmaceutical company in Limerick. Join my client to spearhead their commitment to safety, health, and environmental protection. As the EHS Manager, you’ll lead their EHS function, ensuring a secure, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace for all stakeholders.

The Role

• Developing, implementing and monitoring environmental, health & safety programmes to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, government regulations and company standards, policies and values
• Coordinating and reviewing regulatory compliance documentation and reports to be submitted to outside regulatory agencies and internal audit groups
• Developing, implementing and maintaining an EHS Management System Programme
• Working with our other site EHS to share and implement EHS best practices and to work together to achieve Global Responsibility goals
• Supporting EHS audits and inspections
• Keeping updated on new and updated EHS regulations, including new industry developments (i.e. best practices)
• Developing EHS SOP’s and Policies for EHS compliance onsite and developing EHS training programme for site
• Building relationships with key departments to foster support for a strong EHS culture
• Managing and mentoring EHS Specialists within the EHS team.

Requirements

• BS/ BA in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field and 7+ years of experience working in an EHS role within regulated industry.
• 1-3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• A thorough knowledge of EHS legislation for a pharmaceutical facility operating within Ireland/Europe.
