Exciting Opportunity for a Quality Technician in Metal Fabrication - Join Our Team in Shannon, Co. Clare!

Are you an experienced Quality Technician looking to advance your career? We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our client’s expanding team at their state-of-the-art facility in Shannon, Co. Clare. Our client boasts global expertise and a strong local presence in their specialized field.

The Role:

• First Article Inspection Reports: Pre-plan and prepare reports for products arriving from Production.
• Approval Process: Approve first articles by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production operators/supervisors.
• Finished Product Inspection: Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting tests, and coordinating re-work as necessary.
• Documentation: Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and inputting data into the quality database.
• Material and Sub-Contract Verification: Acquire and verify material and sub-contract certificates for submission with FAI and shipping reports.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure measurement equipment is operating correctly by following instructions and scheduling repairs and calibrations.
• Quality Testing: Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet standards and specifications.
• Sample Verification: Verify production first off and last off samples by conducting visual and measurement tests.
• Non-Conformance Resolution: Participate in investigating and resolving non-conformances, customer complaints, and health & safety issues.
• Quality Management System Support: Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System throughout the organization.
• Process Improvement: Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
• Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineers.

 

Key Requirements:

• Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Measurement Expertise: Experience with dimensional measurement inspections using metric and imperial units, and proficiency with calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
