Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Quality Engineer to join our client's dynamic team, a leader in the metal fabrication industry. This role is based in Shannon, Co. Clare, offering a hands-on environment where innovation and teamwork drive success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System: Maintain and update QMS documentation, records, and systems.
  • Process Efficiency: Drive efficiency, resolve issues, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct and report on internal audits, addressing any non-conformances promptly.
  • Process Improvements: Analyze, identify, and implement improvements to manufacturing and business processes to enhance performance.
  • Product Verification: Assist engineering teams in verifying new and existing products.
  • CAPA Systems: Manage CAPA systems and lead quality problem investigations using proven quality tools.
  • Calibration Systems: Assist with the operation and maintenance of calibration systems.
  • Quality Projects: Coordinate various quality-related projects and aspects of production programs.
  • Operational Support: Provide quality support to operations, leading root cause analyses and problem-solving efforts for quality issues.
  • Quality Controls: Develop and implement quality controls for new and existing products.
  • Team Collaboration: Work both individually and within teams on quality improvement and efficiency projects.
  • Communication: Provide ongoing communication through detailed reports and information transfer as needed.

 

Requirements and Skills:

  • Self-Motivation: Proven ability to self-direct, prioritize, and resolve competing priorities.
  • Team Player: Strong team member capable of driving quality improvements.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Decision Making: Capable of making decisions independently and proactively.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with materials, sheet metal, and machining processes, with aerospace experience being advantageous.
  • PPAP Experience: Experience in PPAPs is advantageous but not essential.
