Manufacturing Technician Nights
Job Title:
Manufacturing Technician V – Night Shift
Job Overview:
The Manufacturing Technician will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and will be responsible for providing engineering support to Manufacturing and the development of existing and new process technologies.
Shift Schedule:
Sunday: 8:00pm – 7:00am (overnight into Friday)
Monday – Thursday 12:00pm – 7:00am (overnight)
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Production Support team to drive process improvements.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardize, and improve existing production methods and procedures.
Provide technical support for a chemical cleaning process and associated effluent treatment systems, ensuring equipment availability and compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
Assist in conducting IQ/OQ/PQ processes for equipment validation.
Help create and maintain current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment changes and improvements.
Take ownership of preventative maintenance procedures for assigned processes or areas.
Additional Responsibilities:
Support Engineering in investigating and implementing new production methods.
Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Communicate and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
Contribute to technical improvement projects as part of the team’s Continuous Improvement program.
Key Requirements:
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes is an advantage.
Ability to demonstrate innovative fixture design and manufacture experience.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Strong motivation and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with medical device development/manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Background:
Level 6 qualification in Engineering or Chemistry, senior trade certification, or equivalent.
Ideally 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with automation, CNC programming, and laser processing is advantageous.
