Software Product Owner – Medical Devices (Limerick)

Our leading medical device client is seeking a Software Product Owner to join their team, driving the development of embedded systems and application software for life-changing healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Agile Product Owner, defining product vision and prioritising backlogs.
• Develop and manage software requirements, epics, and user stories.
• Lead release planning, delivery expectations, and sprint execution.
• Ensure integration across software modules, maintaining quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory, and customer-facing teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 6+ years in software development/testing (C++/C#) and integrated systems.
• 5+ years’ experience across full software development lifecycle.
• 3+ years as Product Owner or in technical program/project management.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Proven ability to write and prioritise requirements in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO).
• Experience with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and build systems.
