Planning Manager – Sligo
We are currently seeking a Planning Manager to join a manufacturing site in Sligo.
This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating end-to-end supply chain planning processes, ensuring efficient production scheduling, inventory management, and material availability to support manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, technical, and stakeholder management skills, capable of driving integration, risk management, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Long-Range Planning (LRP) processes
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules aligned with demand and manufacturing capacity
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency
- Develop and analyse supply chain scenarios to support decision-making
- Lead capacity planning and inventory management activities
- Support core planning functions, including Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Track, analyse, and report on planning and operational performance metrics
- Contribute to network-wide supply chain initiatives to enhance integration and service delivery
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing or supply chain planning environment
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
