Overview

Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to play a key role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and uninterrupted flow of materials across operations. This position will focus on MRP execution, supplier coordination, inventory control, and logistics, supporting manufacturing, service, and new product introduction activities.

Working closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and R&D, the successful candidate will help maintain production continuity and drive supply chain readiness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead MRP execution to align material availability with demand and capacity constraints
  • Analyse MRP signals to manage shortages, mitigate inventory risk, and generate purchase/planned orders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and procure indirect materials and services while balancing cost and availability
  • Act as a primary point of contact for order status, delivery scheduling, and supplier communication
  • Support new product introductions by partnering with R&D, Quality, and Operations teams
  • Monitor supplier performance and work with internal stakeholders to resolve supply and quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate supply risks, issues, and changes effectively across teams
  • Contribute to ERP/system improvement initiatives to enhance planning and data integrity
  • Support inventory control activities including cycle counts, material flow optimisation, and audit readiness
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
  • Track shipments, manage documentation, and resolve any customs or transit-related issues
  • Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives

Education & Experience

Essential:

  • Third-level degree, ideally in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a supply chain role, preferably within MedTech, healthcare manufacturing, or pharmaceuticals

Desirable:

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with global suppliers and international logistics
  • Familiarity with Lean principles in supply chain or operations
  • Knowledge of customs processes, import/export controls, and trade compliance
