We are working with Signature Orthopaedics Europe, a medical device manufacturer based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath, to find a Microbiologist & QA Associate to join their team. This is a permanent opportunity with a growing organisation operating in a regulated medical device environment, offering a salary of 40,00045,000 per annum.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Conducting routine cleanroom and environmental monitoring in accordance with approved procedures and schedules.
- Performing environmental monitoring, product bioburden, water microbiology and other microbiological testing as required.
- Performing LAL/endotoxin testing, passivation monitoring and titrations in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintaining microbiology laboratory records and documentation in accordance with GMP/QMS requirements.
- Liaising with external testing laboratories and service providers, including sample coordination and follow-up.
- Supporting investigations into out-of-specification results and environmental monitoring excursions.
- Supporting the QA department with day-to-day quality activities, batch record review and label reviews.
- Coordinating calibration activities with external service providers and supporting NCRs, CAPAs, deviations and change controls.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related Life Science discipline.
- 13 years' experience in microbiology, laboratory, QA or a related role.
- Good understanding of laboratory practices, microbiological testing and GMP/QMS documentation requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with cleanroom monitoring, LAL/endotoxin testing or knowledge of ISO 13485 and EU MDR is a bonus but not essential.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with QA and cross-functional teams.
