Senior Full Stack Engineer – Permanent

We are working with Fidelity Investments, a global leader in financial services, to find a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Workplace Investing (WI) Digital Platforms Technology team in Galway.

If you are a software engineer with 5+ years' experience building and supporting enterprise applications and strong Angular and TypeScript skills, this is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering product capabilities. You will work closely with Principal Engineers, Engineering Delivery Managers, Product Managers, System Analysts, Quality Engineers and Architects to deliver scalable, resilient, secure and maintainable solutions.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Designing, developing, testing and supporting business-critical applications and services within a product delivery team.
• Contributing to technical design discussions, solution design and engineering improvements across the team.
• Delivering high-quality software aligned with architecture and engineering standards.
• Participating in code reviews and promoting best practices.
• Supporting quality through automated testing and proactive defect prevention.
• Participating in production support, issue investigation and root cause analysis.
• Contributing technical input during planning and estimation, and communicating progress, risks and technical considerations effectively.
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers, sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous learning.
• Using AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity and quality.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related discipline.
• 5+ years' software engineering experience building and supporting enterprise applications.
• Strong experience developing modern web applications and services, and contributing to the delivery of complex software solutions in large-scale environments.
• Strong experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, Signals and modern front-end engineering practices.
• Experience working within Nx/monorepo environments and integrating with REST APIs and API-driven architectures.
• Working knowledge of Java/Spring-based services and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, observability and production support.
• Experience with Vitest, Storybook and modern quality development approaches.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted engineering tools is desirable.
