Micro Laboratory Coordinator

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Micro Laboratory Coordinator to join our team. The Micro Laboratory Coordinator will oversee and coordinate activities within the microbiology laboratory, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, laboratory management, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily operations of the microbiology laboratory, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
  • Oversee the testing and analysis of microbiological samples according to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and other relevant standards in all laboratory activities.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy of test results.
  • Develop and implement laboratory procedures, protocols, and quality control measures to ensure reliability and accuracy of test results.
  • Train and supervise laboratory staff on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Review and approve test results, reports, and documentation generated by the microbiology laboratory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Research and Development, and Manufacturing to support product development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct investigations and implement corrective actions for deviations, out-of-specification results, and non-conformances.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in microbiology and laboratory management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a microbiology laboratory, with at least [number] years in a supervisory or coordinating role.
  • Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, methods, and instrumentation.
