Natural Power: Creating 20 New Jobs in Dublin's Renewable Energy Sector

Natural Power, an international renewable energy consultancy specializing in onshore wind, offshore wind, tidal energy, biomass, solar PV, and hydro energy, is set to create twenty new highly skilled jobs in Dublin. This investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

With offices across the UK, Europe, and North America, Natural Power's Dublin office will be their first in Ireland and their thirteenth globally. Located at Beacon Court in Sandyford, Dublin 18, the office will primarily focus on local and global construction projects. With over 50 wind-farm projects successfully completed in Europe and North America, Natural Power offers a comprehensive range of construction management, technical advice, design, and geotechnical support.

Ireland's coastal regions hold immense potential for renewable energy. Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Pat Rabbitte, emphasized the significance of companies like Natural Power in driving Ireland's green economy. He stressed the importance of harnessing Ireland's offshore wind sector to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and protect the environment. Natural Power's presence in Ireland will contribute to the country's renewable energy strategy, benefiting the economy as a whole.

Ralph Spernagel, Construction Director at Natural Power, expressed his confidence in the Dublin office's ability to provide high-quality construction management and consultancy services to clients in the Irish renewable market. Leveraging the expertise of local engineers, as well as drawing on the knowledge gained in the thriving UK renewable energy sector, Natural Power aims to support project developers and funders from the initial consent phase to successful operation.

Barry O'Leary, CEO of IDA, acknowledged Ireland's leadership in promoting the sustainable energy sector and maximizing the potential of ocean energy in the growing clean-tech industry. By establishing operations in Ireland, Natural Power offers consumers an alternative, cleaner energy source. O'Leary believes that Ireland possesses the necessary expertise to become a key global player in the ocean energy marketplace.

With Natural Power's expansion in Dublin, Ireland solidifies its commitment to the renewable energy sector, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
