As a Data Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and managing animal data models. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, IT, and R&D to analyse and leverage data collected from various sources. Your work will help drive innovative farm and animal KPIs that support animal health and wellbeing.

You will ensure the quality, integrity, and value of our data, making certain that it remains accurate, consistent, and up-to-date.

Reporting Line: This position reports to the Animal Data & Governance Lead within the Animal Health Data organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement animal-focused data models.
  • Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification systems.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams, veterinary professionals, researchers, data engineers, and data management teams to gather and align data requirements with animal health goals.
  • Monitor data quality and proactively resolve anomalies or issues in animal health datasets.
  • Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Establish comprehensive data documentation and metadata management processes for health records, diagnostics, and research data.
  • Advise veterinary professionals and researchers on best practices and standards for data governance in animal health.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in a Data Steward, Data Manager, Data Custodian, or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems Management or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Data quality, cataloging, modeling, analysis, and metadata management
  • Experience with data management tools and platforms, such as Collibra, Immuta, and Data Bricks.
  • Background working with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) and a proven ability to build complex data models for international environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly with veterinary and diagnostic data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in fast-paced settings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Data Science or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of veterinary medicine and animal health data management.
  • Experience in multinational corporate environments.
