Senior Full Stack Engineer Location: Galway (Hybrid) Sector: Financial Technology Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overview We’re currently partnering with a global financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing technology team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and skilled engineer to contribute to cutting-edge digital platforms within the equity compensation and investment services space. The role involves full lifecycle software development within an Agile framework, delivering scalable and reliable solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, QA Engineers, and fellow Developers to deliver high-impact features and enhancements across core digital services.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver robust, high-quality software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Contribute to development efforts as an individual contributor, writing clean, maintainable code.

Lead and support test automation development, ensuring best practices are followed.

Drive improvements in CI/CD pipeline performance and AWS infrastructure efficiency.

Participate in and contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.

Influence platform enhancements through collaboration with stakeholders and senior engineers.

Troubleshoot issues and provide 3rd level support for production environments when required.

Build domain expertise in equity compensation platforms and contribute insights to broader team initiatives.

Languages/Frameworks: Java (Spring Boot), Angular

Cloud: AWS

Containerisation: Kubernetes

CI/CD & Automation: Jenkins, Git, Terraform (desirable)

Testing: REST API Test Automation in Java

Practices: Agile Scrum, TDD, Code Reviews, DevOps Integration

Ideal Candidate Profile

5+ years of hands-on experience in software design and development.

Strong experience with full stack development using Java Spring Boot and Angular.

Solid understanding of cloud architecture and services, ideally within AWS.

Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.

Familiarity with Kubernetes and modern deployment practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.

Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus.
