Packaging Engineer II
Job Summary
The primary objective of the Packaging Engineer II is to support the development and analysis of packaging and labeling products and materials. Working under direct supervision, this role involves compiling, analyzing, and reporting operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified packaging and labeling products.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing product package designs, product labels, DFUs (Directions for Use), and packaging specifications.
- Managing the creation, change, and control of all labeling and packaging components to support R&D in the plant.
- Ensuring compliance of labeling and packaging components with performance standards and healthcare regulations, including country-specific requirements.
- Collaborating with vendors to define specifications for package and label components.
- Providing regular progress updates on labeling and packaging projects to teams and management.
- Communicating and collaborating with various departments within the organization on packaging-related projects.
- Integrating quality into all aspects of work by adhering to quality requirements.
- Coordinating with translation companies for the translation of text used in labeling and packaging components.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of a NFQ Level 8 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Strong project management experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information across multiple functions, gain team member buy-in, and resolve disagreements constructively.
- Solid knowledge of package and label components.
- 3 years minimum experience in a similar role.
