Catheter Shaft Prototyping Technician - Canada

Based in Montreal we support major medical device clients in Ireland and the US.   Reporting to the Director of Research and Development, the Catheter Shaft Prototyping Technician will play a critical role in the process of developing solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with the customer team at the earliest stages of design/prototyping to provide input on technical solutions for the customer’s needs.
• Build catheter shaft prototypes (1-off to large development volumes).
• Provide input for reporting and collaborating with our customers and with other areas of expertise
• Develop and execute technical solutions for prototyping with an eye towards eventual manufacturing including processes and procedures.
• Maintain records and reports consistent with our ISO 13485 quality system. 

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in catheter assembly technologies, including braiding, coiling, reflow lamination, laser welding and catheter bonding assembly is essential.
• Basic proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus, familiarity with MS Office products is a must.
• Proven technical capability in catheter prototyping technology and the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally on the topic is a must.
• Ability and eagerness to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Self-starter with a bias towards well communicated, excellent execution.
• Third level,  2-3 year technical certificate is a plus.
