Onsite role
- Role Summary
The Contract HRIS Implementation Consultant is a highly specialized role engaged to drive the successful and timely implementation of a new HR Information System (HRIS), with a strong preference for rippling or another modern Human Capital Management (HCM) platform.
The Consultant will be responsible for translating complex HR, Payroll, and Benefits business requirements into system configurations, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems and the optimal utilization of the new platform. This role requires immediate expertise and project execution focus.
- Key Contract Deliverables & Responsibilities
The Consultant will be held accountable for the following high-priority deliverables, often on a Statement of Work (SOW) basis:
Implementation & Configuration
- System Design & Mapping: Lead detailed workshops with HR and cross-functional teams to finalize HR process ("To-Be") design, translating them directly into the HRIS (e.g., Rippling) configuration.
- Configuration Build: Expertly configure the purchased modules within the HRIS (e.g., Core HR, Payroll setup, Benefits administration, Time & Attendance, Workflow automation).
- Data Migration: Manage the end-to-end data migration process, including mapping, cleansing, validating, and importing all critical employee and historical data from the legacy system to the new HRIS platform.
- Integrations: Design, build, test, and validate critical integrations with third-party systems (e.g., Finance/GL, Benefit Carriers, external payroll processors).
Project Management & Testing
- Project Oversight: Manage a clear project plan, track milestones, identify critical path risks, and provide concise, data-driven status reports to the Steering Committee.
- Testing Execution: Develop comprehensive test scripts and lead all phases of system testing, including Functional Testing, End-to-End Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with key stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex functional and technical issues, working directly with the HRIS vendor's support team (e.g., Rippling Support) to drive timely resolution.
Knowledge Transfer & Post-Go-Live Support
- Training and Documentation: Create targeted, comprehensive documentation and training materials for the internal HRIS Admin/Support team.
- Hypercare Support: Provide dedicated, high-intensity support for a defined period (e.g., 30-60 days) immediately following "Go-Live" to stabilize the new system and resolve immediate operational issues.
- Knowledge Transfer: Ensure all system knowledge, configuration decisions, and custom workflows are fully documented and transitioned to the permanent internal team before contract conclusion.
- Essential Skills and Experience
- Deep HR Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of critical HR functions, including statutory compliance, Payroll, Benefits, and Employee Lifecycle management.
- HRIS Expertise (Rippling Preferred): Proven track record of successfully implementing and configuring a modern, all-in-one HCM platform (e.g., Rippling, Workday, SuccessFactors, or equivalent SaaS HRIS).
- Data Management: Expert proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, mapping, and validation using tools like advanced Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or SQL.
- Project Execution: Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations on time-critical implementation projects.
- Consulting & Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead meetings, present complex technical concepts clearly, and manage demanding client expectations.
- Desirable Qualifications
- Professional certification in an HCM platform (e.g., Rippling Certification, Workday HCM Certification).
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, or Agile Scrum Master).
- Experience in a start-up or fast-paced organizational environment.
- Familiarity with integration technologies (APIs, SFTP) and troubleshooting data feeds
