Toolmaker Technician III ( CNC Machinist )
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker Technician III (CNC Machinist) to support manufacturing engineering, operations, and new product development.

This role will focus on producing high-precision tooling, fixtures, prototype moulds, and functional components from CAD designs. You will work with limited supervision and will be responsible for ensuring all work meets strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC machines (Fanuc, Haas, Doosan, DMG Mori)
• Operate EDM wire & die sinker, manual lathe, manual mill and surface grinder
• Machine a wide range of materials to produce precision tooling, fixtures, moulds and prototypes
• Analyse drawings and CAD data to determine tooling, methods, and machining strategies
• Interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches and non-dimensioned CAD models
• Ensure all machined parts meet dimensional, surface finish and functional requirements
• Select the most efficient machining methods while maintaining quality standards
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and best practice

• Level 6 trade qualification in Toolmaking / Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar precision machining environment
• Background in a regulated manufacturing industry is strongly preferred
• Strong CNC programming skills, particularly for prototype and low-volume work
• Proven experience with multi-axis machining
• Proficient in 3D CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Mastercam, SolidCAM or similar)
• Experience in 3D machining
• Strong material knowledge including:
   - Titanium
   - Stainless steel
   - Tool steels
   - ESD plastics
   - Ceramics
   - Engineering plastics
• Tool & fixture design experience is an advantage
• Mould making / maintenance and EDM experience desirable
• Excellent time management and planning skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• High attention to detail and quality focus
