Role Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a Data Analyst to join a fast-paced and growing Operations & Corporate Shared Services environment. This role sits within the Security Master & Pricing function and is responsible for delivering accurate and timely securities reference and pricing data to downstream systems and business lines, including trading, operations, and regulatory reporting.

The successful candidate will work on concurrent projects and deliver multiple initiatives that provide insight and analysis to support operations, with a strong emphasis on data quality, process improvement, and customer impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to projects related to data ingestion, storage, analysis, and reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of securities reference and pricing data
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide insights into data issues and service recovery
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for escalations involving senior stakeholders
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience and team performance
  • Develop and maintain documentation relating to system functionality and data lineage
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders across a matrix environment
  • Understand downstream impacts, workflows, and system dependencies
  • Ensure adherence to risk and control policies and procedures

Required Experience & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar role
  • Experience working within a global shared services model preferred
  • Exposure to capital markets, particularly securities reference and pricing data, is desirable

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of Equities, Fixed Income, and Options products from a market data perspective
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with large relational databases
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, EMR, and Lambda
  • Experience using Python and relevant data analysis libraries
  • Familiarity with financial market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, ICE Data Services, Refinitiv) is advantageous
