Production Manager 
We are currently seeking a Production Manager to join a leading regulated manufacturing environment in Galway. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role will take ownership of day-to-day production operations while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high-performance team culture across the site.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety objectives, and operational KPIs are consistently achieved. This position will also require a strong focus on change management, process optimisation, and stakeholder engagement, acting as a change agent to drive and embed sustainable improvements across the manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production operations to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of labour, materials, and equipment resources.
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Drive a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational compliance across manufacturing activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop production teams to drive engagement and high performance.
• Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and performance management activities.
• Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment focused on continuous improvement.
• Act as a change agent, leading operational and organisational improvement initiatives.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimisation activities to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to track operational performance and improvement initiatives.
• Analyse production data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives across the operation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR teams.
• Communicate operational performance, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
• Support the successful implementation and adoption of operational change programmes across teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Management role within a regulated environment.
• Strong leadership and people management experience within manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading change initiatives and driving operational improvements.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related discipline.
• Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
