Sales Manager – Facilities Management

Lead Growth. Shape Strategy. Build a Winning Team.

Location – Ireland (Offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork)

The Opportunity

This is a senior, high-impact leadership role within a growing Facilities Management business that values collaboration, innovation, and accountability. As Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the sales function end-to-end, setting strategy, driving growth, and building a high-performing team in a business where your voice is heard, and your results genuinely matter.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across operations, finance, and marketing in a culture that encourages fresh thinking, commercial curiosity, and getting things done properly. This is a role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, leading from the front, and shaping a sales function fit for the future.

The Role

The Sales Manager will define and deliver the commercial growth strategy across the Facilities Management portfolio, driving new business, deepening client relationships, and strengthening market position across hard, soft, energy, sustainability, projects, and integrated FM services.

You will lead both the strategic direction and day-to-day performance of the sales and business development function, ensuring best-in-class processes, strong governance, and consistent delivery of results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a clear, ambitious sales strategy aligned with wider business objectives.
  • Identify new markets, service opportunities, and routes to growth across the FM landscape.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and evolving client needs to inform innovation and differentiation.
  • Provide visible, credible leadership to the sales and business development team.

Business Development

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior clients, consultants, and key decision-makers.
  • Lead negotiations and secure high-value FM contracts across public and private sectors.
  • Maximise value through cross-selling and upselling across the full service offering.

Sales Operations & Performance

  • Own sales performance management, including pipeline, forecasting, KPIs, and reporting.
  • Ensure the CRM system is fully embedded, accurate, and used as a strategic tool.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure a seamless client journey from bid to delivery.
  • Manage the annual sales budget and revenue forecast.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales and business development team.
  • Set clear objectives, coach performance, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage strong alignment between sales and operational teams to ensure client promises are delivered, not just on paper.

About You

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 8–10+ years’ experience in senior sales or business development roles, ideally within Facilities Management, Building Services, or Property.
  • Proven success winning and retaining large FM contracts.
  • Strong understanding of FM delivery models, tendering processes, and commercial pricing strategies.

Skills & Attributes

  • Commercially astute, strategic thinker with a strong results orientation.
  • Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable engaging at board and senior client level.
  • Hands-on leader who can balance strategy with execution.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and data-driven.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Naturally collaborative, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • A positive, “can-do” mindset with a passion for improving performance and margins.

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivery of annual revenue and profit growth targets.
  • A strong, healthy sales pipeline with high conversion rates.
  • Consistent success securing new, high-quality FM contracts.
  • High levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • A motivated, engaged, and high-performing sales team.

Why This Role?

This is a genuine opportunity to shape a sales function, influence business direction, and be part of a company that values leadership, trust, and performance over politics. If you’re looking for a role where you can make a visible impact and grow with the business, this one stands out.
